A dynamic accountancy firm requires an enthusiastic and energetic Sales & Relationship Development Manager or Assistant Manager to join their close and supportive business development and marketing team. The team's overarching purpose is to support in retaining and maximising existing clients, help win new ones and manage and enhance the firm's brand. With the overarching purpose of driving profitable growth, the Sales & Relationship Development Manager or Assistant Manager will play a key role in building relationships both internally and externally to win new work and maximise client relationships, collaborating with the partner group and BD team to ensure an efficient, aligned approach, and to share best practice and innovation. Working with the Head of Sales & Relationship Development to grow the function and help establish coherent and lasting sales strategies to drive sales and overachieve against deliverables, you will play a critical role in the success and development of the sales team. You will be required to build strong relationships with partners and deliver fee growth against their strategic plans and will be expected to develop a sustainable new business pipeline. Maintaining up-to-date market knowledge, including sector and competitor activity, the role holder will target and generate potential revenue using both proactive and reactive sales techniques, capitalising on leads and existing relationships and identifying sales opportunities linked to legislative, market and economic based issues. You will be responsible for hitting sales targets to achieve fee growth and will prepare bids and proposals and deliver on pitches for your new business opportunities. In addition, the successful applicant will need to work closely with BD colleagues on campaigns. An excellent persuader, influencer and challenger, with the ability to work collaboratively, the Sales & Relationship Development Manager or Assistant Manager will possess strong knowledge of sales methodologies and processes combined with a proven track record of sales and relationship management in a professional services firm. Confident, professional and able to build strong relationships with C-Suites, the ideal candidate will be commercially astute and will possess strong networking, negotiation and problem solving skills.
