This role as BD Executive (12mth FTC maternity cover) for a leading regional accountancy firm is to provide local support for the active and dynamic Romford office, in the centre of town. This office is an important area for business growth and the person who would best fit in to this role is someone who is passionate about the area, and wants to drive business development forwards. The successful candidate will work alongside five General Practice partner accountants and also support our HR Consultancy and Payroll Services which are in the same location. This role is very varied and will include supporting office projects within general practice and the HR Consultancy Service line, helping them identify potential clients and provide the platform for them to develop business relationships through online and offline marketing, local profile raising, seminars and networking events. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -Work with PD Department, office colleagues and partners to develop and implement BD strategies for the Romford office and HR Consultancy Service with the overall aim to acquire new clients -Lead, attend and/or support monthly office BD meetings -Develop, drive, project-manage and evaluate ROI for BD & Marketing campaigns -Working with partners, directors and managers to develop and progress their pipelines through the sales process -Identify, build and manage a substantial and sustainable multi-service new business pipeline -Identify referral and cross selling opportunities and engage with other areas of the Firm to include services and sector teams as and where appropriate -Develop strategic relationships with intermediaries (banks, lawyers, industry associations and independent financial advisers etc.) -Develop and produce collateral needed to support local BD activity -Liaise with partners and the PD Department to organise events which provide the Romford office partners and HR Consultancy Service arm opportunities to deepen relationships with clients and meet new business owners -Use sector expertise and insight to position the firm appropriately within the market -Work with partners and Marketing Manager to set and manage office BD & Marketing budgets and business plans -Liaise with PD Department colleagues in order to share knowledge and co-ordinate activity -Ensure the corporate identity and brand profile is consistent throughout all marketing collateral, communications and events -Work with the Digital Marketing Executive to maintain the office web page and encourage social media activity -Work with the Firms SEO digital agency to develop digital paid for campaigns -Assist partners with writing new business Proposals You must have five years BD or marketing experience, with a mature approach to intelligent business development coupled with a positive and tenacious attitude and a good knowledge of the local area. You'll be a good team player who is experienced in working in a consultative environment with partners and senior managers. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong commercial awareness, and have experience of compiling a BD plan and researching sales opportunities. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects and prioritise, have a strong ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of market sectors, and be confident in presenting opinions to senior personnel. In addition you must demonstrate a track record of delivering projects across the marketing mix, have good writing and editing skills, strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with experience in identifying, building and managing sales pipelines and be highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads alongside a great knowledge of a CRM process/ system.
