A leading global law firm requires a business development specialist to provide support to the client development efforts of the Finance, Real Estate, Special Situations and Hedge Fund industry partners based in London. The role holder will report in to a highly experienced Client Development Manager and will be responsible for delivering cutting edge business development support. The Business Development Executive will coordinate various projects and work with lawyers and professional staff to implement the industry, client and business development priorities of the London office within the context of the London business plan and global firm strategy. You will work with the Client Development Manager to help drive the implementation and execution of the group’s industry client targeting programmes and manage and drive London and cross-border pitches, proposals and capability statements. The successful candidate will be expected to identify key market trends through industry reports, collating client feedback and conducting in-depth research on key and target contacts and client institutions and will work on new product launches and group specific campaigns and programmes. On the marketing side, you will support the directory and awards processes, create and update marketing collateral material, maintain the firm's website and intranet pages and help to assess the value and relevance of profile raising opportunities to ensure that maximum benefit is realised. The ideal candidate will be a university graduate or equivalent with a strong academic record from a reputable institution and previous business or client development experience in a large law firm or similar environment, to include a proven track record of project managing and delivering effective pitches and proposals. In addition the Business Development Executive will be a commercially minded and energetic team player, possessing excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills and a strong ability to manage conflicting priorities and work calmly to tight deadlines.
