BD Manager (Corporate) – 3-6 Month FTC – Leading International Law Firm
A leading international law firm is looking for a very high-calibre person to join their prominent business development team, looking after the London Corporate practice on a three to six month fixed term contract basis.
This position will have a very broad remit covering both marketing and business development. The role holder will need to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the London practice to be viewed as a trusted advisor and to challenge constructively and will work with key stakeholders to develop a solid understanding of the practice area products as well as the wider Corporate practice and the firm. The Business Development Manager will provide strategic and tactical advice to drive growth and preparation and implementation of business and marketing plans will be vital. On the BD side there will be involvement in the bids process, drawing together information and managing the process and in particular guiding the partners involved in each bid. CRM will also be involved as you will manage at least one priority London Corporate relationship. On the broader marketing side, management of the directory submissions will a key immediate responsibility along with events and the development of marketing collateral.
In order to be considered for this challenging role, you will need to have a good academic background allied to proven marketing and business development experience in a professional services firm, ideally within a Corporate practice. An analytical mind and the ability to deal at the highest levels within the firm from day one are also pre-requisites of the role. Knowledge and experience of working in the energy sector is highly desirable.
