BD Manager (Corporate M&A) – Leading Global Law Firm
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading global legal firm as a Business Development Manager. The role is based in London but includes a significant international dimension, ensuring BD activities and initiatives are developed and co-ordinated across the firm’s EMEA, US and Asia office network.
Due to significant recent growth in their London-based M&A and Corporate practice, the firm is seeking a dynamic, results-focused BD professional to help and support partners on continuing the firm's exciting growth and development. The successful candidate will work with the Head of London Corporate to support strategic BD initiatives. Reporting to the EMEA BD Associate Director for Corporate, the Business Development Manager will take a leading role in helping the London M&A group fulfil its strategic and very demanding growth objectives and the implementation of a range of strategic initiatives designed to improve the firm’s generation of business from new and existing clients. The role holder will be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated industry sector focus groups across EMEA, maximising the business development opportunities which exist in the cross-border investment flows within the region and building the profile of the firm’s M&A, Corporate, Private Equity, Employment, Tax and Real Estate practice. The successful candidate will enjoy a broad role working with the Partners and Associate Director to support the implementation of the London Corporate and M&A strategy and will provide dedicated support on all aspects of business development, CRM, pitches, marketing and communications to the London Corporate practice.
For this particular role, it is essential that candidates have strong track record of experience and achievement in a specialist or junior manager level role in a law firm environment. Prior experience and knowledge of working within a Corporate practice and a relevant marketing or business qualification would be an advantage. The Business Development Manager must also have an excellent track record of project managing and delivering pitches and proposals.
