A global legal firm is looking for a capable and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join its large well-established marketing & BD team on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.
The role holder will work in conjunction with the other Marketing & Business Development Managers for Finance and the Finance practice partners, sector groups and other members of the team across the firm's offices, to provide marketing and business development support to the Finance Practice Group, and in particular the firm's Business Restructuring & Insolvency and International Debt Capital Markets practices. In this role you will be responsible for the development and implementation of structured and planned approaches across the full range of business development activities. The Business Development Manager will enjoy a broad remit, with the role encompassing a range of business development and marketing activities including business development planning and budgeting; pitching an targeting and pursuits; client development; marketing campaigns, thought leadership and profile raising; and internal communication and knowledge sharing.
You must be a bright graduate or equivalent with extensive previous experience working in a business development and marketing environment within professional services, preferably in a major law firm, and have gained strong experience of managing and running the pitch process. It would be advantageous to have prior knowledge of Finance and Financial Institutions and demonstrable experience in a related role. Highly motivated and an enthusiastic self-starter with a can-do attitude, the Business Development Manager will be pragmatic, robust, diplomatic and resourceful, with a well-developed ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities.
