Based in either London or Farnham, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic junior to join a leading Patent and Trade Mark law firm as a Business Development and Marketing Assistant tasked with providing support to the Business Development, Marketing Committee and Partners of the firm in all aspects of business development and marketing. The main duties of this broad role will include:

  • Day to day marketing administration and dealing with enquiries
  • Assisting in the coordination and planning of events
  • Assisting in the preparation of pitches and tenders for new business
  • Preparing and disseminating client mailshots/e-shots
  • On-going website updating and maintenance
  • Posting regular updates on social media channels
  • Inputting data into the firm’s CRM system
  • Monitoring of internal business development intranet content and keeping the intranet updated
  • Assisting with research
  • Liaising with partners for content for legal directories and other publications
  • Proofreading of draft marketing literature as required
  • Liaising with printing companies and other suppliers
  • Ensuring correct use of brand identity across the firm
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of BD projects and other activities as they arise
The ideal candidate will be a graduate or equivalent with previous BD or marketing experience, excellent communication skills and high attention to detail and work accuracy. The Business Development and Marketing Assistant will also be a confident and friendly self-starter who is able to get on well with people at all levels of an organisation. A keen interest in professional services marketing is essential, while German language skills would be advantageous.
