An opportunity has arisen to join the Business Development team of a specialist, London based law firm. As a Business Development & Marketing Manager, your focus will be on providing support to Partners and Counsel in the development and implementation of the Real Estate Group's business development strategy. In this role you will support the Head of Business Development & Marketing and work closely with the BD Partner for Commercial Real Estate and other key Partners to set in place an annual strategic plan and manage and drive the implementation of tactics, whilst monitoring and tracking budgets. With overall responsibility for the development of a strategic BD and Marketing plan for the firm’s Commercial Real Estate practice, the Business Development & Marketing Manager will work with the relevant partners in Commercial Real Estate and specialist real estate teams to devise an overarching plan that aligns with the objectives set out in the group business plan. Key duties will include driving and actively managing the groups’ Sector Strategy; designing and launching a communications strategy that reflects the key messages and objectives for the group; implementing successful events and co-ordinating social media campaigns; working with partners to implement initiatives to source new business; leading and managing major client pitches; and providing training and coaching for Senior Associates on the road to Partnership or Counsel and supporting BD-centric partners on developing their personal BD plans and advising on how to integrate into the wider departmental strategy. The role holder will also responsible for the management of a BD and Marketing Assistant. The Business Development & Marketing Manager will have extensive proven experience of business development and marketing within a professional services firm, ideally gained in a law firm at manager level, allied with in-depth knowledge of the Real Estate sector. An energetic, self-motivated team player, you will have excellent IT, organisational and communication skills and be both accurate and thorough. It is essential that you are able to remain calm whilst working under pressure and possess both the confidence to interact with people at all levels of the firm and ability to build productive relationships.
