Bids & BD Executive – Award-Winning Commercial Law Firm – Bristol
Based in Bristol and working for an award-winning, commercial law firm, this is an exciting executive level role which blends bids and business development.
The role holder will be expected to develop a deep knowledge of either the Social Housing or Public Sector team including their skills, experience, sector strengths and relationships with clients, targets, referrers and industry bodies. On the BD side you will enjoy a brad role encompassing the management of BD budgets, client development, events, marketing communications and directory submissions. From a bids perspective, the Bids & Business Development Executive work with the Bids & BD Managers to scope client requirements and complete the first draft of RFIs and RFPs; liaise with the lawyers and business services professionals that contribute to bids; create presentation materials for pitches; capture best in class answers, experience, CVs, and directory quotes for inclusion in the tender precedent library; collect and collate feedback; and provide clearly defined lessons learnt and actions for implementation. The successful candidate will also be involved in panel management, supporting the team by identifying opportunities and target organisations and contacts, providing competitor analysis and management information, co-ordinating the provision of value added services, including training, and tracking panel renewal dates.
You must be a graduate or equivalent, with previous bids or business development experience gained in a professional services environment, preferably a law firm. Enthusiastic, confident, pro-active, persistent and robust, you must possess good organisational skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, gaining respect and credibility quickly. The Bids & Business Development Executive will also ideally possess either Public Sector or Social Housing sector knowledge.
