A major international law firm is looking for a very high-calibre person to join their prominent business development team, working within their market-leading Disputes practice. The successful applicant will enjoy a great opportunity to further develop their business development skillset and to work hand-in-hand with fee earners. Working closely with the Business Development Manager and alongside the London and global Disputes practice, the role holder will enjoy a broad remit covering both marketing and business development. You will support the implementation of business plans and related BD initiatives and work with the team to develop new initiatives. There will be heavy involvement in the bids process, project managing all aspects of tender responses and pitches, including drafting material and obtaining input from various contributors, and the successful applicant will be expected to keep abreast of client issues to enable pro-active identification of business opportunities and the preparation of innovative materials for clients. On the broader marketing side, management of directory submissions will be an immediate responsibility along with the development of marketing collateral, assisting with media and PR opportunities, promoting the use of social media amongst fee earners and managing client events. In order to be considered for this challenging role, you will need to have proven marketing and business development experience preferably gained within a corporate or professional services firm, with a background or experience of working in a law partnership being highly advantageous. The Business Development Executive will ideally possess experience in dispute resolution and a good working knowledge of InterAction and Vuture Vx.
