This is a fantastic opportunity in a hugely entrepreneurial law firm, working closely with a Business Development Manager and directly with partners from the corporate and M&A, commercial and competition practices. The Business Development Executive will have the opportunity to work with the Business Development Manager for Corporate and M&A, Commercial and Competition on key projects as well as lead on some of the day-to-day activities these practices undertake to support their practice plans. The Business Development Manager for these groups is the head of business development and will therefore rely heavily on the successful applicant. The role provides a great opportunity to cover a wide range of business development and marketing disciplines, with responsibilities including providing support for the key client programme, assisting with pitch activity, project managing the production of credential documents, pitches and presentations and running the league table submission process. On the marketing side, you will implement practice-wide marketing campaigns, support fee earners on their profile raising initiatives, support partners and PR managers on PR initiatives and press releases and ensure there is effective internal communication of successes and updates to keep other practice areas up-to-date with relevant activity. Events will also represent a key area of focus as the role holder will collaborate with the events team on the preparation of a variety of seminars and client events. The successful candidate will be proactive and tenacious with previous marketing and BD experience gained in a legal or professional services firm. The ability to liaise directly at partner level and strong written and verbal skills are essential. The Business Development Executive will also need either an understanding of the relevant practice areas or a keen desire to learn about them.
