An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proactive, tenacious and creative business development professional to join a forward thinking global law firm's as a Business Development Executive to support their Real Estate practice group. You will be a part of a BD, Marketing and Communications team that is already well-established and respected within the firm by partners and other fee-earners for its high standard of service and the ideas and commitment it brings to business development. The Business Development Executive will play a key role in supporting the Employment, Pensions & Mobility and Financial Services & Competition practices, with a strong focus on the UK business, but also incorporating some international dimensions. You will help the firm to build on the client development and profile-raising work that has already been achieved and continue to create a more structured approach to BD activities and will be central to helping the firm develop a more commercial outlook to its clients and its work. Proactively identifying and utilising market intelligence, the role holder will work with Partners and BD colleagues across the firm, providing BD support, including identifying issues and opportunities to develop business or cross sell, and pitching for new business. On the marketing side, you will manage and support specific marketing initiatives, thought leadership campaigns, client and internal communications and maintain the information necessary to market your group. In addition, the successful applicant will collaborate with the Events and BD Operations teams on client events and will take responsibility for running practice or sector-specific seminars and networking events. The ideal candidate will have solid business development or client relationship management experience gained at a similar level within the legal sector or professional services, to ideally include experience within the corporate legal or tech sector. It is essential that the Business Development Executive also possesses strong commercial awareness, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and has the ability to motivate and inspire fee earners.
