A leading international law firm requires a skilled and experienced marketing and business development specialist to work closely with fee earners, advising on and driving the execution of marketing and business development initiatives across the Dispute Resolution International Practice Group. This role represents a great opportunity to be part of one of the largest practices in the firm, which continues to grow significantly particularly across its international platform. The successful applicant will enjoy being both immersed in the Dispute Resolution practice and also being active as a valued part of a strong and genuinely international firm. Operating as an integral part of the marketing and business development team, the successful candidate will have a strong voice in the future planning of the practice group. This role will demand both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, with the ability to juggle both being key to success. Main responsibilities will include profile raising, working with the communications team, partners and fee-earners, developing product campaigns and supporting marketing activities. There will also be the chance to support the business planning process, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, overseeing all elements of BD activity to ensure alignment. This will include client development, product focus, pitching, analysis and event management. On the client development side, you will act as the driving force in developing and directing initiatives that strengthens the group's relationship with priority clients and potentially managing and developing a key client account. Assisting fee earners with practice specific tenders, proposals and pitches, including conducting a bid/no bid process, managing the logistics of the pitch process for any assigned pitches and writing formal responses, will represent another important element of this broad and varied role. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive experience and knowledge gained in a marketing, sales or business development role in a leading professional services firm. It is also important that you have experience of the end to end management of pitch processes and are familiar with CRM systems, document management systems, intranets and websites.
