A highly impressive global law firm are looking for an outstanding Business Development Manager, to work with the firm's Employment, Employee Benefits and Immigration teams which all form part of the Employment Department. This is an outstanding opportunity to make real difference with one of the most progressive legal brands out there. The role holder will be tasked with the delivery of the business development and marketing operations and plans for the Employment & Compensation Practice Group in London. With line management responsibility for a Senior Business Development Executive, the successful candidate Business Development Manager will co-ordinate office resources to develop a strategy focused, market-leading BD, marketing and communications capability which enables the Practice Group in the London office to win, retain and grow business. The Business Development Manager will lead on the design and execution of plans and will need to proactively drive forward London priorities such as practice-driven strategic initiatives, client targeting, client events, client listening, thought-leadership, directory and award submissions, proposals and a range of other projects. You will be responsible for delivering high quality support and training, integrating contributions from expert functions and end-to-end services spanning all aspects of the BD and marketing mix, with your own work. The role holder will also support Partners and other fee earners to identify and implement external profile raising opportunities, including thought-leadership programmes and campaigns, article writing and speaking opportunities, and must ensure BD and marketing content and materials are regularly reviewed and kept up to date. This role would suit a very bright graduate or equivalent, with significant proven marketing and business development experience gained ideally in another large law or professional services firm to include previous experience of working and developing relationships with senior stakeholders. The firm is seeking someone with outstanding communication skills, who will thrive working in a fast paced, commercially-focused environment. The Business Development Manager will possess strong judgement and a demonstrable track record for confidently suggesting well-reasoned independent strategic recommendations and ideas.
