Based in either Paris, Dusseldorf or Munich, this is an exciting Business Development Manager opportunity with a fantastic remit in a leading law firm. The role holder will work closely with the European board and European office management teams and also the Global and Regional Business Development leadership teams. The scope of the role is very appealing as it encompasses all aspects of business development and marketing and assumes a high degree of involvement with partners and associates. The successful applicant will be responsible for bringing the European regional offices together in their collaborative development and pursuit of clients. This will be achieved by leveraging the firm's global network; facilitating the sales process; originating and coordinating high value marketing and communications activity; and enabling the European BD team to provide quality advisory and execution services to the European business. Shaping and implementing global initiatives, tailored to regional nuance will be a key element of this challenging role. The Business Development Manager will receive execution support from centralised Business Development and Marketing Executive teams. This role would suit a very bright graduate or equivalent with proven experience of working as a business development practitioner at management level within a fast-paced professional services environment, preferably within the legal industry to include experience of formulating and managing budgets and overseeing the monitoring of spend and any associated reports. A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work closely with partners and associates and to influence key partners and decision making groups, it is essential that you possess a positive and tenacious personality as you will need to pro-actively drive initiatives forward and motivate resources to perform. Fluency in both English and an additional European language, according to the location of the role, will be critical.
