One of the world's leading law firms requires an experienced Business Development Manager to provide focused client and business development support to the Financial Investors team. The Business Development Manager will be heavily involved in driving and managing the implementation of the firm's strategy at the client level and will be expected to proactively help the firm to develop business with these clients via a range of revenue generation activities. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of Financial Investor global strategic clients and will be expected to identify new revenue-generating opportunities using a broad range of techniques and information sources. You will hold responsibility for ensuring regular relationship, matter and secondment feedback reviews are held and that feedback is shared with relationship teams. You will also provide end-to-end support of RFP opportunities, challenging 'go-no go' decisions; producing high quality first drafts, seeing them through to submission with Partners, and rehearsing pitch teams. Marketing and reputation building will also represent an important element of the role with the role holder playing a key role in the organisation of client events, developing ad hoc marketing materials and leveraging the firm's product offerings and thought leadership campaigns. In order to perform this role successfully, the candidate will have extensive client relationship management experience or have had significant exposure to client relationship programmes from a practice BD role. Previous experience in professional services, preferably in a law firm, to include a track record of strategic account planning and supporting panel RFPs is essential. A highly motivated self-starter and exceptional team player, committed to high performance, the Business Development Manager will hold a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline and must be confident, articulate, resilient and focused. Knowledge of the financial investors sector is desirable but not essential.
