Based in SW London, a driven and dynamic market-leading law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development professional to ensure the operational delivery of a first class business development and marketing service to the Health sector groups which proactively contributes to the enhancement of the firm's profile and reputation. The role holder will be part of a highly collaborative, friendly and non-hierarchical team in which strong performance is visible to senior management and is both recognised and rewarded. This will be a pivotal role and will provide a great opportunity for the right candidate as Health is the firm's largest sector. Working very closely with key partners, and supporting them in their client development and sales roles, the successful applicant will produce sector strategic plans as part of the business planning programme and develop tactical and strategic marketing plans that support sector objectives and facilitate face to face relationship building. Sales account and opportunity management will represent an important element of the role and the and the Business Development Manager will need to maintain a focus on top clients, including target setting and producing action plans, and proactively manage relationships with key sector and industry contacts, publications, websites and other external bodies. On the marketing side you will oversee the production of literature, flyers, updates, award entries and thought leadership materials. You will also develop sector propositions and key messages, working in partnership with communication and digital experts to set and manage a calendar of strategic campaigns, and work with the events team to manage an agenda of events that will help the Health practice enhance its brand and generate leads in a cost effective manner. You will be an existing BD professional with experience of working in either a legal or professional services environment at manager level and will be able to demonstrate strong commercial sales and key account management experience to include proven experience of delivering commercial solutions which are engaging, creative and realistic. With an excellent understanding of the full range of marketing and business development activities necessary for a progressive organisation, the Business Development Manager will also enjoy juggling multiple priorities against tight deadlines and will possess outstanding communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage successfully at all levels.
