Business Development Manager – Leading National Property Firm
An exciting regional opportunity has arisen for an experienced business development specialist to join a national property firm based in their Cambridge office. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in implementing the firm’s group strategy, working alongside the Head of Business Development, the Divisional Managing Partners and interacting with team Business Development Managers. You will be jointly responsible for the overall delivery of business development activities along with the other BD & Marketing Managers. The role will include implementing business development strategies to support the delivery of the business plan, client targeting, pitching and client management. Your key duties will involve:
- Leadership and management - You will be the first point of contact for all business development activities, providing direction, advice and coaching to the fee earners on all aspects of BD activity.
- Strategy - You will work with the Head of BD to support the development and implementation of the firm’s group strategy. This will involve ensuring that business plans are implemented and driven forwards and working actively with marketing specialists within the team to support the delivery of marketing activity in support of the business plan
- Bid/Tender Management – You will input into the ongoing development of the bid management process and the delivery of supporting materials. This will involve the production and submission of the divisional bid and tender documents in line with the brand, tracking and measuring bid success and continually working to improve win rates, acting as project manager on large-scale pitches and coaching senior fee-earners on the delivery of their presentations.
- Client targeting/CRM - You will support the process for selecting target clients and tracking across the business. This will involve rolling out targeting initiatives for core areas and identifying opportunities for business development locally. You will be required to support the implementation of the firm’s CRM system and encourage cross-selling between all areas of the firm.
