A great opportunity has arisen in a highly regarded national legal firm for a Business Development Manager. The organisation is going through an exciting period of growth and needs an outstanding BD specialist to manage and drive practice area marketing and business development initiatives. The role holder will bring a strategic and planned approach to marketing and business development, advising on best practice, attending departmental meetings and following up on planned activity for the Tax and Reward practice group and a firmwide Private Capital business development initiative. It will be the responsibility of the Business Development Manager to drive forward initiatives that will directly impact on the success of the group, working with partners and other fee earners to provide strong project management in the implementation of practice development and marketing plans and ensuring activities are carried out to time and budget. You will be heavily involved in business planning, bids and proposals. You will also be responsible for marketing communications and collateral, directory and award submissions and working with the events team in relation to the organisation of events that will help the practice develop its reputation in key markets and generate leads in a cost effective manner. Pre-requisites for the role of Business Development Manager include proven business development experience gained in a leading law or professional services firm and demonstrable success in dealing with partners at a senior level. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and tenacious team player, with a high attention to detail and excellent influencing, communication and project management skills.
