A leading international law firm with a dynamic and enterprising approach is hiring a Client Development Manager to join their large team. Reporting to Head of Clients Insurance, you will be accountable for up to four client accounts. The Client Development Manager will be a key member of the Global Business Development Team, managing and contributing to the collaborative development and pursuit of clients across insurance business lines. This will be achieved by leveraging the firm's global network; facilitating the sales process; originating and coordinating high value marketing and communications activity; and providing advisory and execution services to the business. To be successful in this role, the successful applicant will need to be comfortable working with lead relationship partners and wider partner teams to identify, qualify and drive revenue generating opportunities with clients in their assigned portfolio. You will be expected to develop a strong understanding of the firm’s capabilities and regional coverage in order to align opportunities with the relevant expertise, and be comfortable with taking ownership and driving this process. The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of client development, including strategy and research; leading pitches and internal and external team meetings; developing marketing and business development activity that ties into the clients' needs; monitoring KPIs and reporting regularly back to the on progress. The firm are very flexible, offering an agile working policy and opportunities for part-time and remote working, and there are excellent prospects for internal promotion for the right candidates. The successful candidate must be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have proven experience of working as a Client Development practitioner at management level within a fast-paced professional services environment, preferably within the legal industry. Positive and tenacious with excellent verbal and written communication skills, the Client Development Manager will possess outstanding interpersonal skills including confidence, positivity, diplomacy and the ability to influence key partner and lawyer groups and gain credibility quickly.
