Client Development Manager (Financial Services) – Large Global Law Firm
One of the largest full service law firms in the world is looking for an experienced Client Development Manager to join the firm's Clients and Sectors team. Based in either London, Leeds, Birmingham or Manchester, the successful candidate will be responsible for some of the firm’s major client relationships in the Financial Services sector across their global business. These will include relationships that form part of the firmwide Top Tier client programme, which has sponsorship and oversight from the firm’s Executive. The clients in the portfolio include some of the world’s largest banks. The role involves both extensive client-facing responsibilities and ownership of the client strategy for each of the relationships. You will be expected to become the subject matter expert on the client’s business, develop deep expertise in the sector and collaborate across a broad range of different teams and jurisdictions. It is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is able to think strategically, act globally and who enjoys working with senior stakeholders in a very commercial role. The Client Development Manager will work with the global client partners, Financial Services Sector Head, Senior Manager in Financial Services, and wider client service teams to drive forward the client relationship and business development strategy for a defined group of global clients. Driving the client service teams, including identifying opportunities to grow the team in different jurisdictions and across practice groups, and bringing the most relevant expertise to the client relationship, you will focus on specific strategies for winning transformational work for each client. Driving best practice across the client portfolio and working with the wider client development and other BD teams to bring the best of the firm’s relationship management approach to clients will be key to success in this challenging role. You will have a strong academic record or equivalent allied to extensive client development and business development experience gained in an international professional services environment or the financial services industry. The ideal candidate for the role of Client Development Manager will also possess a commercial attitude, a strong ability to work on a global basis and will be familiar with the different working practices and market drivers found across the key global hubs for financial services.
