Client Development Manager (Transactions) – Specialist Global Law Firm
A specialist global law firm requires a highly organised and commercially-minded Client Development Manager to join their friendly team who are committed to delivering consistent, high-quality client service. The Client Development Manager will enjoy a broad role supporting the firm's transactional practice groups in London, specifically Global Finance and Financial Restructuring, and as needed across EMEA, as well as other firmwide strategic initiatives. You will work with the Associate Director to develop and implement business development plans and brand strategies to enhance the visibility and profitable growth of transactional practice areas. With line management responsibility for a BD Executive, the role holder will focus on the implementation of business plans and advise the business on the right marketing tactics to drive revenue and brand goals. You will oversee the development and implementation of practice group plans and business development activities, leading and conducting various research projects and identifying new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients. You will support responses to RFPs and other new business proposals, developing pitch strategies, tailored proposals and pitches and providing coaching as required. On the marketing side, the successful applicant will work in collaboration with the Communications and Events teams to raise the profile of the firm and its partners including social media, thought leadership, awards and legal directories, events and client communications and will assist in the creation and maintenance of compelling content. The ideal candidate will be degree educated or equivalent with relevant experience working in a similar role in a professional services environment, preferably a law firm. It is essential that the Client Development Manager is a strategic thinker with a proven ability to communicate successfully at all levels within a firm and has a strong understanding of the needs and expectations of lawyers and clients. Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects to meet deadlines are prerequisite.
