Events Executive (12 Month FTC) – Prominent Global Law Firm
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed Events Executive to join a prominent global law firm in London on a 12 month fixed-term contract. The Events Executive will run market-leading global events with creative execution to differentiate the firm's events from its competitors in the market. The role holder will have in-depth involvement in the identification and planning phases for events, making recommendations to partners and senior business development colleagues and implementing events best practice globally. In this role you will have the opportunity to manage a variety of strategic events from creative London based dinners and drinks receptions to training based global off-sites and content rich conferences. You must be able to take an event from the initial brief through to on-site management and follow-up, communicating with and gaining the confidence of partners, lawyers and marketing colleagues in relation to their event. Staying abreast of all the latest trends within the industry and maintaining and managing current and new relationships with suppliers, the role holder will be required to assess the business value of each event and give guidance on suitability, ensuring that the reputation of the business is upheld by all events and that the firm’s brand and values are clearly represented. Carrying out post-event reporting, including attendee lists, attendee breakdowns and reconciliation, budget management and negotiation will also represent key areas of focus for the successful applicant. A pro-active team player with the ability to multi-task and project manage a variety of events at different planning stages, the ideal candidate will have a successful track record of executing both virtual and in-person international events gained whilst working in a fast-paced global organisation, ideally within a professional services setting. The Events Executive will have the ability to work well with minimal supervision on large-scale events whilst maintaining great attention to detail. Excellent knowledge of UK based and global venues and suppliers, an interest in global trends in events delivery, a willingness to work additional hours when required and a positive approach are also important for the role.
