Based in SW London, this is a great opportunity for an events professional to join the driven and dynamic marketing department of a market-leading law firm. This role is a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of events with exposure to all sectors within which the firm works. The successful candidate will report into the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager and will have full responsibility for managing the firm’s busy events programme, ensuring consistently high quality events and a programme that adds value to the business. This will include the planning and execution of external seminars, webinars, exhibitions, conferences, hospitality events and industry awards that the firm attends or organises. The Events Manager will also ensure that return on investment is maximised for each event, using their experience to make recommendations and instil best practice accordingly. The events programme is national so there will be a requirement to travel and stay overnight when necessary. The Events Manager will be an experienced events professional, looking to take on a role in events management and will have extensive experience of coordinating events, preferably in a professional services environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, with an ability to engage at all levels and to build effective, credible and long-lasting relationships especially at senior level are essential, as are outstanding administration and coordination skills, excellent attention to detail and the energy and enthusiasm to tackle new markets.
