This leading legal firm is looking for a Head of Business Development & Disputes Marketing Lead to lead the Business Development department, taking ownership of developing and managing a team of ten with three direct reports at manager/senior manager level. You will also personally manage BD & Marketing for the firm’s largest practice, Dispute Resolution; building strategy, identifying opportunities, and executing plans; providing a high quality proactive full range of business development and marketing support across Recognition, Reputation, Relationships and Revenue. Specific duties require a committed and proactive individual to support the assigned practices and cross-firm groups / projects on tactics and processes. This includes: Management / Leadership • Providing leadership, encouragement, performance manage and development opportunities to the Business Development Managers; building and maintaining a culture of high performance/ high support and operational excellence • Building a quality control culture for the team and leading on reviews and processes • Managing the annual practice planning process working closely with other Heads of department and the CMO with clear financial and activity reporting processes • Leading strategic firmwide BD projects Dispute Resolution BD & Marketing • Partnering with the Dispute Resolution practice area and partnership team to define and build a targeted and focussed BD and marketing strategy • Aligning the goals of the practice area with strategic firm-wide objectives • Reporting on activity and return on investment on initiatives and trends and managing financial performance, including budgeting and cost control • Keeping up to date with trends in the legal sector/ wider market (nationally and internationally) and across all other industries, working to ensure the firm is proactive and progressive in its approach • Planning and coordinating award entries, organising and drafting submissions and working with the team’s PSL to coordinate directory entries • Producing digital media, plan, organise production and assist with scripts and liaising with Communications team to plan and measure PR and media activity Leighton Taylor promotes diversity, equality and fair treatment in all aspects of our work.
