An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced client development specialist to join a niche international law firm as a Key Client Development Manager. The role holder will lead, support and coach client relationship partners on account management best practice and identify and leverage opportunities to grow the firm’s revenue with each allocated client account. You will be expected to act proactively in suggesting strategies and actions, driving these forward in regional and global meetings and through the use of client plans and regular communication with the global client account teams to improve the firm’s strategic position with each client and increase the firm's share of work and revenue. The Key Client Development Manager will be responsible for holding regular account meetings with client relationship partners to discuss general direction of travel and financials and to provide proactive ideas on cross selling or enhanced service delivery. Keeping abreast of client news, new products and personnel changes, you will prepare partners for client meetings with background information, both internal and external, and drive agenda item ideas. You will be heavily involved in client feedback for allocated clients, targeted independent client interviews and post matter and on boarding interviews. Liaising with fee earners to ensure retention and growth of revenue stream, working with Finance to create innovating pricing solutions and rate increases and assisting the Pursuits team on RFPs and capability statements to leverage any growth, revenue or cross-sell opportunities will represent key aspects of this varied role. In addition, the successful candidate will directly line manage junior members of the team including coaching and providing performance feedback, setting best practice, providing training and support and ensuring the team delivers good quality work. A confident and self-motivated team player with a business development focus and creative thinking approach, the ideal candidate for the role of Key Client Development Manager will have extensive previous experience supporting client relationship management initiatives and key account programmes within a professional services environment.
