A great opportunity has arisen for someone with strong professional services experience to join a rapidly expanding global law firm on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. The Pitch Manager will lead on all aspects of the pitch process to provide a client-focused and tailored response. In this position your aim will be to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and thus success rates of bids, whilst promoting best practice across the firm. The Bids Manager will lead and work closely with a busy team, overseeing and supporting the development of winning bids. The role holder will be expected to scope opportunities effectively, influence senior stakeholders by embedding best practice processes such as qualification conversations and compliance processes, and will need to initiate relevant client research, both internal and external. You will define the strategy for each pitch and produce tailored win strategies including persuasive value propositions and compelling sales messaging and lead both the provision of pitch meeting coaching to improve the performance of pitch teams and coach BD teams across the firm in relevant proposal processes to ensure consistency. The successful candidate will also be tasked with pitch debrief reviews and managing the process of post pitch feedback and distribution of follow-up from feedback meetings. Driving and owning the continuous improvement of the firm's pitching infrastructure, systems and behaviours will be an important part of the role. To prosper in this excellent role you will need to be a commercially aware bid specialist with outstanding writing, editing and influencing skills and have a proven ability and experience of leading, motivating and developing a team. The firm is very interested in people from a non-law bid or pitch function background. It is essential that the Bids Manager comes from a professional services background and possesses business to business, complex Corporate pitch experience.
