This is an exceptional bids role in one of the largest law firms in the world. The Pitches & Pursuits Manager will manage effective pitch development and delivery in a global, fast-paced and results-oriented environment. This is a position for a committed and dynamic pursuits specialist to work alongside a highly-regarded international marketing and BD team, supporting the firm’s most strategic panel and matter opportunities on a global basis. The role holder will collaborate with the practice area and industry marketing and BD teams to develop and design high-quality responses to client proposals and pitches, to support the firm’s business development requirements, and leverage the firm's pitch best practices to ensure pitch materials are consistently client-focused, compliant and easy to evaluate. The Pitches & Pursuits Manager will be expected to look for new areas of growth and help develop a strategy for further pursuits, researching and reviewing relevant market, industry, competitive and business information for the preparation of successful pitches and to work with marketing and BD teams to identify compelling new ways to improve final pitch product and existing pitch processes. The successful candidate will also coach pitch teams on presentation techniques and handling Q&As and conducting post-pitch evaluations to obtain feedback and trend analysis. This is an opportunity that requires a strategic mind and an intellectual outlook, with a strong academic background or equivalent, allied to extensive bids and proposals experience gained in a global professional services organisation, preferably legal. An excellent team player with the desire to use initiative, to be proactive and to act autonomously with minimal guidance, it goes without saying that the Pitches & Pursuits Manager will also require outstanding influencing and persuasion skills.
