This leading law firm is seeking a Proposals Manager to support the Firm’s global pitches & proposals function. Under the direction of the Global Proposals Manager, the Proposals Manager will be responsible for leading on responses for strategic pitch and panel opportunities, applying proposal best practices and processes. They will also support the Firm and wider BD team on the preparation of client-facing pitch opportunities more broadly. Responsibilities include: • Taking the lead on coordinating and drafting strategic panel pitches and proposals, including facilitating and leading meetings, agreeing strategy and messaging, drafting, and reviewing content from a marketing perspective and coaching deal teams on winning proposals. • Objectively assessing incoming pitch opportunities, making recommendations to partners and the wider BD team on how to proceed. • Collaborating with relevant colleagues (in BD, Profitability, Risk, DE&I, ESG etc.) to develop compelling and focused pitch content on the client. • Developing client-centric pitch content in line with the Firm's end-to-end pitching process. • Coordinating presentation rehearsals and leading training and coaching on style, approach and messaging and coaching the senior lawyers through the entire process from kick off meeting to presentation stage. • Promoting and upholding the Firm's approach and procedures regarding pitch best practices and processes. Provide recommendations as necessary to increase efficiencies and ensure consistency of delivery and approach to pitching throughout the Business Development team and the Firm. • Continually develop and look to innovate the firm's approach to winning business, conducting feedback reviews for submitted proposals, identify themes from client feedback and take action appropriately. • Prepare regular reports for the Firm’s leadership on our pitch performance. You will have at least 4 years’ experience of managing strategic and panel pitches, providing advice on approach and strategy in a law firm or professional services environment. You’ll have previous experience of working with and motivating senior figures and lawyers and possess exceptional attention to detail. With strong organisational, time, and project management skills, you’ll be able to handle a diverse range of projects, prioritising multiple tasks with competing deadlines. You will be a team player with the ability to effectively communicate and recommend advice that adds value to each pitch proposition, and be a self-starter, be proactive and take a hands-on approach.
