A dynamic legal firm currently has an opportunity for a high performing Business Development professional to provide support for the implementation of marketing and business development activities in the Financial Regulatory, Disputes and Funds Groups in London.
The Senior Business Development Executive will work closely with the Business Development Manager to drive forward the marketing and business development efforts of the strategic practice groups. This hands-on, busy role offers a balance of project ownership and autonomy and there will be plenty of exciting opportunities to get involved in team initiatives in a dynamic and international environment, with significant partner liaison. The day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with colleagues across different offices, particularly in New York, Europe and occasionally with the Middle East and Asia. You will closely with the partners to create a BD and Marketing strategy, write practice group business plans and drive the implementation of these plans. Client Relationship Management will be an important focus of the role and also pitching and proposals, where it will be the individual’s responsibility to draft, compile and produce pitch documents, proposals and client presentations. On the marketing side, the Senior Business Development Executive will be tasked with managing the legal directories and league table processes including writing compelling directory submissions and reporting and analysing the firm's rankings. Other responsibilities will include driving strategic campaigns and thought leadership, improving the firms brand and reputation in the market using a wide range of communications channels and developing seminars and events.
A successful candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with significant experience in marketing and business development, preferably in the legal sector, but most certainly a professional services firm, with previous knowledge of the financial services sector and financial regulatory, disputes and funds practice groups being an advantage. The Senior Business Development Executive must be familiar with planning and preparing pitches and presentations, legal directories and other marketing materials. It is also essential to have strong attention to detail and a positive and enthusiastic work ethic.
