An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious BD & Marketing Executive or Senior Executive to join the supportive Business Development team of a London based, specialist law firm on a 6 month fixed term contract or permanent basis to work with their highly regarded Commercial Real Estate, Construction, Planning and Property Litigation Teams. This role would provide a good next career step for someone with experience working for a professional services firm focused on real estate or someone from a real estate company, agent, investor, developer or operator and represents a great opportunity to work in a team which will offer support but also the chance to try out new ideas, hone and develop your marketing and BD skillset and be involved in challenging and interesting work. The role holder will have responsibility for driving action, devising and implementing marketing strategies and being the go-to resource for four of the teams’ sector groups plus the Planning team. The BD & Marketing Executive or Senior Executive will report to and be mentored by the Commercial Real Estate BD & Marketing Manager but there will be a high level of autonomy in the role. You will also work closely with the BD & Marketing Coordinator. The Commercial Real Estate group is a dynamic and engaged team which produces a lot of good content and they are open to new ideas and happy to receive direction on best practice in terms of marketing and BD. The relationship you build with the fee earner teams will be that of an advisor and there will be scope to bring fresh thinking and new ideas looking at B2B marketing trends both within and outside of the legal sector. The successful applicant will enjoy a broad role with responsibilities including reviewing and updating sector plans, working with selected partners to develop individual sales pipelines of key clients, targets and referral contacts, supporting and managing major client pitches, developing and executing cross channel marketing campaigns, managing internal communications and working with the firm’s PR agency, and supporting the compilation and submission of entries for Chambers and Legal 500. You must have previous experience of business development and marketing within a professional services firm, ideally a law firm, and proven experience of the Real Estate sector. An energetic, self-motivated team player, you will have excellent IT, organisational and communication skills and be both accurate and thorough. It is essential that the BD & Marketing Executive or Senior Executive is able to remain calm whilst working under pressure and possesses both the confidence to interact with people at all levels of the firm and ability to build productive relationships.
