A leading legal firm is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Business Development Executive with drive and ambition, to work closely with the global Financial Institutions sector to deliver incisive and value-added marketing and business development support. You will be a key source of knowledge within the Marketing & BD team about the work of the Financial Institutions team and will need to develop good knowledge of the type of legal advice and services offered by the sector. You will also need to be very familiar with the Financial Institutions sector’s business plan and related budget and will play a proactive role in developing and supporting business development initiatives. Monitoring the pitch pipeline for clients and the sector, the role holder will support the production of strategically significant sector, firm-wide and panel pitches, capability and credential statements and will help to rehearse pitch teams for beauty parades and organise and attend pitch scoping and debrief meetings with clients. You will need to develop an understanding of the sector’s client base, the opportunities and challenges they are facing, and their role in the key client programme and will manage and lead on a key client. On the marketing side, the successful applicant will work with PR, digital and events leads to effectively action opportunities to raise the firm's profile in the areas of law covered by the sector and will collaborate on events. The Senior Business Development Executive will also support the development of marketing and thought leadership campaigns and assist the delivery of each campaign. A strong team player with an intelligent, pragmatic approach, the ideal applicant will have proven marketing or BD experience preferably gained in a professional services firm, to include a demonstratable track record of being pro-active and delivering high quality work. A highly motivated, self-starter with strong project management and analytical capabilities, the Senior Business Development Executive must possess excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. Previous experience of working in a financial institutions practice or sector role will also be highly advantageous.
