A top national law firm is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join its friendly and well-regarded team in Bristol. Working on a hybrid basis as part of the wider marketing department, the Business Development team work alongside Partners and lawyers to ensure the business development activities of the firm are effective and commercially valuable. The focus of this talented team is to manage the firm’s business development strategy and activities in the core sectors in which the firm’s clients are seeking to transact, working to grow the business the firm delivers for clients in the UK and in other geographies worldwide where the firm operates via a preferred firm network of law firms. The firm are therefore looking for a proactive self-starter, with previous experience of working in a similar role or looking for their next step up. This is an exciting and fast-paced opportunity with a high level of responsibility and variety. The Business Development Executive or Senior Executive will provide support with the strategic planning and delivery of integrated campaigns and client facing activities including sponsorships, events, thought leadership campaigns and digital media activities. Undertaking external and internal research, business analysis and competitor intelligence, the role holder will work alongside lawyers with regards to client sourcing and to contribute to networking opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to assist lawyers and the wider Marketing team with a range of other key marketing activities, such as legal directories submissions, deal league table submissions, press and PR matters, email marketing and website. Monitoring and evaluating the success of initiatives and marketing activity though data analysis to provide insight to enhance strategy will represent an important focus of this broad role. The Business Development Executive or Senior Executive will possess proven business development experience gained in either a law firm or other professional services environment. Resilient and self-assured, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with and instil confidence in senior leaders and stakeholders of all levels, the successful candidate will thrive whilst working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
