This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join a fantastic international law firm as part of a highly valued BD team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. The role holder will be a key member of the UK based Senior Business Development Manager team who work across the Insurance and Industrials practice groups with a majority focus on the engagement and conversion stages of the sales pipeline. Reporting to the Head of Business Development UK and with line management and supervision responsibility of one business development manager, you will enjoy a broad role encompassing all aspects of business development and marketing supported by centralised business development and marketing executive teams. You will be expected to leverage and influence the firm's global network, facilitate the sales process, originate and coordinate high value marketing and communications activity and provide advisory and execution services to the Practice Group partners. Shaping and implementing initiatives, tailored to market and client nuance will be key to the success of this challenging role. The successful applicant's specific responsibilities will include developing strategic business plans focusing on key clients and driving revenue generation whilst developing and implementing best practice techniques internally across all areas of marketing and BD. You will also have involvement in the bids and proposals process working closely with specialists to ensure that the firm is distinguished above others and that the all opportunities are seized. This role would suit a bright graduate or equivalent with substantial experience of working as a Business Development practitioner at management level within a professional services environment, preferably within the legal industry. Applicants must be able to demonstrate past success in developing and implementing a business development strategy, managing the implementation of strategically aligned marketing activities and developing clear plans for key sectors resulting in increase in revenue. A proactive and highly organised team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, it is essential that you possess a positive and tenacious personality in order to drive initiatives forward.
