A premier global law firm require a Senior Business Development Manager to take responsibility for a full business development role supporting the Global and London Antitrust groups. The Senior Business Development Manager will enjoy a truly global and varied role working closely with Partners, Associates and business professionals across the firm to develop the profile and enhance client relationships for the Global Antitrust group, including both contentious and non-contentious. You will work closely with senior management to identify the right work, right clients and support the best team and best delivery objectives, which are central to the wider firm strategy. Directly line managing a Business Development Executive responsible for supporting London Antitrust, the role holder will lead marketing and BD support, supporting the implementation of the group's business plan and strategic initiatives, conducting research, overseeing the Global Antitrust client programme and taking responsibility for one global strategic client. Cross-selling and Bids will represent highly important elements of this role, with the successful applicant working on some of the major panel and transactional pitch opportunities to which the team is asked to contribute and advise on. On the marketing side, you will need to drive forward the marketing, thought leadership and social media strategy for the group, including working closely with the PR team to help profile key successes. Main duties will include leading the development and market profile of the firm’s Antitrust Hubs, ensuring the market-leading work of the team is accurately profiled with key trade, legal directories and award providers and supporting regional marketing trips. In order to perform this challenging role successfully, candidates will need to have significant previous experience in professional services business development, preferably in a law firm, to include a track record of working on competitive proposals and of leading successful marketing campaigns. A highly motivated self-starter and exceptional team player, committed to high performance, the Senior Business Development Manager will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to demonstrate previous success in line management.
