This is a very exciting senior level opportunity based within one of the biggest names in the legal world. You will be tasked with managing relationships and driving business development activity for the Mining sector. The successful candidate will be expected to build their personal understanding of current and emerging issues impacting the Mining sector globally, in order to become recognised as one of the lead Business Development professionals for the sector. You will provide strategic and tactical advice designed to evolve and deliver the global sector strategy and will support and coach partners in their efforts to maximise market opportunities and pursue new business. The Senior Business Development Manager will regularly review and update the priority clients for the sector with a view to increase the depth and breadth of relationships, work with practice groups and regions to identify key issues and opportunities and develop products around these. Client Relationship Management will form a strong focus of this challenging role, with the role holder being tasked with developing long term, profitable relationships with a number of nominated priority clients and also working with the sector client teams to support the development of new and existing relationships with their clients and to drive client listening. The ideal candidate for this role will possess extensive proven experience in business development with a particular focus on strategic selling, pursuit management and client relationship management gained within a professional services or large corporate environment. It is essential that the Senior Business Development Manager possesses both strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated expertise in influencing and building trusted relationships with a diverse range of senior stakeholders.
