A leading UK law firm focused on the Private Client and Technology, Media and Entertainment sectors is seeking a talented and energetic Business Development & Marketing Manager or Senior Manager to play a central role in developing and executing the firm's business development strategies and plans across several practice groups and nominated initiatives. Reporting directly into the Director of Business Development & Marketing, the role holder will form an integral part of the senior BD & Marketing team. The leadership of the team is relatively new, and you will be joining the firm at an exciting time when there is a great deal of strategic focus and support for the growth and development of the function. The BD & Marketing Manager or Senior Manager will oversee the output of the BD team and will have line management responsibility of a Senior Executive and an Executive. You will enjoy a varied role with high visibility and daily interaction with Partners which will be both strategic and operational and focused on delivering to an exceptional standard at all times. Developing close working relationships with key stakeholders, you will take the lead in refining and delivering business development and marketing plans, demonstrating a deep and thorough understanding of the respective practice areas, and helping to identify market and client trends and growth opportunities from existing and new potential clients. You will play a leading role in the identification and development of key client and intermediary relationships, designing relationship management plans, and overseeing and delivering the effective execution of all relationship development activities. Leading the pitching process, including providing practice, partner, client and market-specific insights to target and tailor each opportunity, will represent a key area of focus. On the marketing side, the successful applicant will be required to ensure exceptionally high-quality delivery of events, contribute to the annual awards and directories process and manage marketing collateral. In addition, you will oversee effective external profile raising, feed into firm-wide comms and PR and work with the Communications & Marketing Manager on digital marketing and website related activity. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong business development and marketing experience gained in a similar role, preferably in a legal firm. Flexible, ambitious and enthusiastic, the Business Development & Marketing Manager or Senior Manager will be an outstanding communicator who is able to establish and maintain strong and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
