A great opportunity has arisen with a big-hitting global legal firm who are looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to join their team on a nine month fixed term contract basis to provide strategic communications counsel and develop integrated communications strategies and materials that promote the firm’s people strategy and responsible business programme of work. The firm’s highly regarded business development, marketing and communications team is integral to the setting and achievement of the firm’s business objectives, which includes supporting partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming clients’ trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting, deep institutional client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced law firm among the global elite. The function works as one team across the globe with very close collaboration between the central groups, such as communications and events, and the professionals working in local offices, practice groups, sectors and clients. This role requires someone with the drive and ambition to proactively collaborate with HR colleagues and responsible business teams in creating real change in how the firm communicates. The Senior Internal Communications Manager will be a key player in the global internal communications team, fostering strong relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues in communications in London and across the firm’s global network to ensure the success of internal communications, ensuring alignment of messages that support the firm's wider brand and reputation. Keeping ahead of the latest internal communications and engagement best practice and global industry and wider market trends, you will be responsible for designing and delivering measurable and innovative communications and engagement programs that inform, inspire and connect colleagues across the firm’s global network, ensuring internal communications are always relevant. The role holder will deliver end to end campaigns from inception and creation to delivery and assessment and also provide expert communications advice and support on ad-hoc projects and activities. You will be required to work closely with HR and employer brand teams to bring the firm’s people proposition to life, embedding it throughout the employee journey, and support HR colleagues with communications campaigns around global engagement surveys, reward, learning and development and recruitment. In addition, the successful applicant will be tasked with the project management of the annual UK Pay Gap report, including developing themes, writing the report and supporting communications. A proactive and positive team player with a high degree of integrity, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a substantial track record of achievement in internal communications and engagement roles, ideally in the professional services sector, to include success in advising and influencing senior stakeholders and business leaders . You will need strong omnichannel experience, the ability to develop compelling and creative campaigns and must understand how to write about a broad range of issues, from business focused content to human interest stories. Confident and highly organised, the Senior Internal Communications Manager will possess excellent writing and communication skills and will enjoy juggling multiple requests and acting quickly to meet tight deadlines.
