Senior Bids & Pursuits Executive – Major International Law Firm

A major international law firm is looking for a proactive bids specialist to join their enthusiastic Bids & Pursuits team to support the development of best practice bids.

Working closely with Partners, fee-earners and the wider Business Development team, the successful applicant will support the end-to-end development of high-quality, distinctive and client-focused bids and pursuits, from qualification and strategy through to submissions, presentations and follow-up. You will work with key stakeholders across practices and strategic focus industries to develop clear pursuit strategies and compelling win themes, drawing on client research, stakeholder insight and a strong understanding of the opportunity to shape persuasive responses. The role will have a strong focus on the quality of written and visual content, with responsibility for drafting, reviewing and refining proposals, developing compelling value propositions and graphical elements, and ensuring that content is tailored to individual client requirements. The Senior Bids & Pursuits Executive will champion best practice across the firm's global bids and pursuits methodology, contribute to the development of the firm's content library and bidding tools, and work collaboratively with colleagues across Business Development to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. The role holder will also support the effective use of pursuit technology, analysing bid performance and feedback to identify trends and improve win rates, and contributing to initiatives led by the Regional Head of Bids & Pursuits to ensure the team delivers consistently high standards of quality and excellence.

The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with strong experience within a bids and pursuits role in a legal or professional services environment, with a proven track record of supporting successful strategic bids. You will have excellent proposal writing and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with Partners, subject matter experts and wider teams to understand client requirements and develop clear, compelling and succinct content for a range of audiences. You will have a strong understanding of work-winning processes and experience supporting bids through key stages of the pursuit process, including meetings, presentations and commercial discussions, and the ability to identify client needs, articulate benefits and develop persuasive win themes. The Senior Bids & Pursuits Executive will also be highly organised, commercially minded and confident managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
